JADCO Contemporary Dance Company

The Contemporary Dance Company is a performance based ballet, jazz and modern company which provides performance opportunities or exceptional dancers, ages 13 through adult. The company has several performances a year:
  • A choreography showcase presentation in which our dancers learn the ins and outs of putting together a full scale show. They choreograph their own pieces, work on publicity, learn lighting design and put together technical support.
  • State-wide festival performances.

JADCo Contemporary Dance Company’s adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Match Girl

  • The show is a musical adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s famous story  “The Little Match Girl”. It is a contemporary rock opera set to the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and is told through narrative and movement.

    It is directed and choreographed each year by January Johnson Wolfe and Dorothea Hereford with guest choreography by Heather Taylor, Lorien McDavid and Maggie Bryan.

    Guest artists for the 2007 performance are Joe McCullough, Brian DeWeese, Bob McCarty, and Tory Casey.
